More specifically, there’s a big increase in demand for Cider and Lager during this time 5 Single - Can and Bottle Small - 4 x Can/Bottle Mid - 12 x Can/Bottle Large - 18 x Can/Bottle All Cider, apart from White & Value over perform during the summer. Flavoured Cider sees the largest over performance (+20%). Additionally, World Beer (+5.6%) and Alcohol-Free Lager (+6.6%) also exceed average performance during this season. 6 Pack Types We observe an increase in shopper visits during the summer months as the weather improves, providing more opportunities for larger group gatherings, such as weekend BBQs or mid-week meetups with friends and family. Different occasions require different pack sizes: • Quiet nights or small gatherings call for single or small packs. • Mid-week gatherings with friends or family suit small packs. • Larger weekend gatherings require medium to large packs. During summer, all Cider packs except large ones perform well. Medium and Small packs see the biggest boosts (+11% and +8% respectively), thanks to more gatherings in good weather and longer daylight. Additionally, Small beer packs make up 42% of Beer and Cider sales during the summer. 6 Glass Bottles in Cider show a +10% increase in sales during summer, while Beer Glass Bottles see a +3.9% increase.
